AquaTech Foundation & Waterproofing installs The Stabilizor Foundation Repair System. The Stabilizor is one of the largest residential helical pier systems on the market today. The articulating bracket forms to the bottom of the footing for an evenly controlled lift and permanently solves a cracked foundation. Jim, the owner of AquaTech Foundation and Waterproofing Inc. is a soil expert who understands why foundations fail. Foundations fail due to poor soil conditions, soil compaction or most commonly, excessive moisture that is found in soil. AquaTech has a permanent solution to solve all of your house settling problems.
The reason that most foundations fail is because houses and buildings are built on the upper layer of soil which experience settlements and movements changes. The top layer of soil also experiences weather changes. The soil goes from excessive wetness to excessive dryness and this causes the soil to expand and contract. With all of this movement, the ground and foundational structure breaks down. Unfortunately, most of the time, the foundation of your house pays the price. When your foundation begins to crack, a number of signs become evident. Some examples of deterioration are interior plaster wall cracks, nail pops coming through the drywall, doors and windows sticking or becoming hard to open and crown moldings and trim developing spaces. Exterior signs are often more noticeable due to the fact that materials used on the exterior of the home tend to be harder and more solid. Therefore, they withstand the outside elements, such as brick, block and stucco, all of which don’t bend. They break or crack.
The most effective way to fix a broken foundation is to re-support the footing break and stop the movement from occurring. When houses are built, they have downward weight, which is controlled by soil expansion and contraction. The Stabilizor Helical Pier System is screwed down under the footings of the structure 15-30ft., on average, to a level where the soil does not get affected. Helical piers are permently left in place, stabilizing the home and supporting the original footing system. This keeps the house from shifting. One of the biggest advantages in installing helical piers, is the ability not only to stop the movement of the broken foundation, but also to lift the broken portion of the home back into place.
